Internal Sales Engineer

Responsibilities:

FatWire is an Enterprise Web Content Management software vendor. We provide infrastructure software that enables companies to create and maintain highly personalized websites for B2C, B2B and B2E purposes. Our flagship product is based on server side java architecture and is open and conforms to J2EE, JDBC and Web Services industry standards. Our product has database, application server and web tiers and runs on multiple operating systems.

The role of an internal sales engineer requires:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, effectively and convincingly.
  • Responding to technical questions in response documents (RFP’s, RFI’s).
  • Developing quick turnaround projects to help our sales force create customer demos.
  • Good balance of technical and customer oriented skills.
  • Developing strong relationships within the sales organization to ensure teamwork and synergy.
  • Communicating and strategizing regularly with the Sales Engineering team.
  • Serving as a technical liaison between the customer and Sales.
  • Managing the product demo environment and driving changes and enhancements in product demonstrations.
  • Self starter with project management skills and ability to work with general instructions on new assignments.
  • Willingness to learn and improve current processes.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Java and JSP understanding and background.
  • Proper Web development experience and understanding (HTML, Javascript, CSS, scripting languages).
  • Experience with and understanding of database server, application server, and web server software.
  • Experience with and understanding of multiple operating systems and environments.
  • General knowledge of software and an overall technical background.
