Senior QA Engineer

Location: FatWire - HQ
Responsibilities:
- Perform functional, stress, integration and regression testing based on product release requirements
- Design, develop and improve test plans and cases
- Design and develop test automation scripts
- Setup test environments
- Identify, isolate and document bugs clearly and concisely in the bug tracking database
- Manage multiple deliverables against aggressive deadlines
- Work closely with Engineering to obtain and finalize product requirements
- Evaluate and enhance SQA standards, technologies and approaches
- Work on systems engineering tasks, configuring FatWire's software for new platforms, performance testing and tuning.
- Regularly contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Understanding and prior involvement in all the phases of a software product lifecycle
- Up-to-date on current and best practices and technologies related to SQA and project management.
- Experience with developing automation strategies and implementing automation plans using tools such as QTP, Rational Robot, Winrunner, Load Runner, JUnit, Ant etc
Technical Skills:
- Experience working on enterprise Java/J2EE server projects in a quality assurance role
- Ability to quickly understand large software bases and recognize areas for improvement and extension is required.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix
- Database experience (SQL, Oracle)
- Application Server experience - WebSphere, WebLogic, Sun, or Tomcat
- LoadRunner, QTP a plus
- Virtual environment experience preferred
- Scripting or programming (Perl, Java or C) experience is preferred

- Organized, detail-oriented, with demonstrated analytical skills
- Must have an ability to remain focused on large-scale projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially for technical information
- Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment
- Must be innovative, curious, and willing to take initiative
