Senior Technical Support Engineer

Responsibilities:
FatWire is seeking an energetic, ambitious Senior Support Engineer responsible for troubleshooting, supporting, and assisting FatWire's clients in our Java-based product suite. Our software is developed in Java with relational database back-end and Web-based front end. The Senior Software Engineer must have the ability to troubleshoot simple to complex problems in a logical client focused manner and be dedicated to providing world class customer support.
- Work with FatWire's clients and other support engineers to resolve technical issues
- Ability to set up client environment in house to reproduce issue as necessary
- Communicate with other departments such as Engineering and Sales to facilitate issue resolution
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Windows and at least one brand of UNIX
- In-depth knowledge of two of the following RDBMS: DB2, Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server
- In-depth knowledge of application servers (any 2) - BEA, IBM, Sun, Tomcat
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows plus 1) - Windows, Solaris, AIX, Linux
- In-depth knowledge of programming languages - Java (j2ee certification preferred)
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Must be focused on and have a proven record in client satisfaction

Experience:
