Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

FatWire Software is seeking an energetic, ambitious Support Engineer responsible for troubleshooting, supporting, and assisting FatWire's clients in our Java-based product suite. Our software is developed in Java with relational database back-end and Web-based front end. The Support Engineer must have the ability to troubleshoot simple to complex problems in a logical client-focused manner.

Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Windows and at least one brand of UNIX
  • Knowledge of two of the following RDBMS: DB2, Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge of application servers – BEA, IBM, Sun, Tomcat
  • Knowledge of programming languages – Java (j2ee certification preferred)
  • Must be detail-oriented.

  • 1-2 years experience systems/software.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
