Mineola, NY – February 9, 2007 – FatWire Software, the leading provider of content management and delivery solutions for deploying persuasive Web sites and applications, today announced that its board of directors has named Andrew Gyenes as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Gyenes has served as FatWire’s Senior Vice President of Global Operations for the last three years, and brings over 25 years of executive experience in the high technology industry. Gyenes replaces Mark Fasciano, who has been FatWire’s CEO since founding the company in 1996. Fasciano will continue to serve as Chairman of FatWire’s board of directors.
FatWire also announced the launch of 411Karma.com, a new business venture backed by FatWire, where members can “do good” for themselves, their friends, and the causes they care most about. FatWire founders Mark Fasciano and John Murcott will anchor this new effort, while continuing their support of FatWire. Fasciano is relinquishing his day-to-day responsibilities to focus on the new venture. Murcott will transition during the next 9 months from FatWire to 411Karma.com.
“I’m excited to be leading FatWire through its next stage of growth,” said Gyenes. “We’ve just finished a record year in terms of revenue, profitability, and customer success. Organizations around the world need to put content to work to attract and retain customers, and generate revenue. FatWire has a great opportunity to build on its leadership position in persuasive Web Content Management and eMarketing solutions.”
Before joining FatWire in 2003, Gyenes, a strategic management consultant, was helping companies in executive and operational management, strategic planning, and merger and acquisition activities. Previously, Gyenes was Chairman and CEO of Cornerstone Internet Solutions, a B2B competitive e-marketplace, and held worldwide responsibilities for Information Systems at Warner Communications (now AOL Time Warner). Gyenes received a Masters of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the Courant Institute at New York University.
