MINEOLA, NY--FatWire, a leader in content management and developer of the powerful e-business platform, UpdateEngine, today announced the addition of Jay McGlynn to its executive team. As senior vice president of the sales division, McGlynn will be responsible for growing and leading the worldwide sales force and enhancing customer support to increase sales of FatWire's flagship product, UpdateEngine.

Prior to joining FatWire, McGlynn was senior vice president of sales for New Era of Networks (NEON), a leading provider of e-business enabling solutions, where he developed and managed sales and professional services organizations focused on commercial, financial and telecommunication accounts. McGlynn's sales leadership was a crucial factor in establishing NEON as the market share leader in enterprise and e-Business integration solutions.
McGlynn was also founder and CEO of TecPlan, Inc. where he developed and managed financial sales programs for major networking and wireless communications companies. He also served as the chief sales executive for Parctec, a subsidiary of Kleinwort Benson, where he managed a sales organization that generated over $500 million.
Early in his career, McGlynn held sales and marketing positions at Digital, IBM and Wang, where he managed large scale field organizations. McGlynn received his bachelor's degree from Villanova University's College of Commerce and Finance.
This is the latest in a series of new executive hires for FatWire. Recently, the company named Frank Russo chief operating officer, Jim Holleran senior vice president of marketing and business development, and James R. Gleason director of business development to its executive team.
