FatWire Releases UpdateEngine Migration Plug-In
New toolkit addresses an industry problem: quickly and easily transitioning existing Web assets into new Web sites

Mineola, NY -- FatWire today announced the release of the Migration Plug-In, designed to help business users more easily export their existing Web assets into the company's UpdateEngine5 dynamic content management software solution. The Migration Plug-In allows non-technical users to import web assets, like HTML files, into UpdateEngine powered sites.

An easy-to-use interface allows business users to migrate pre-existing content into the UpdateEngine database allowing both database-driven and static content to co-exist throughout the system. The Migration Plug-In complements the dynamic content migration capabilities of UpdateEngine with the ability to publish content to any medium, including external databases. The Migration Plug-In allows users to select any number of files from any folder to import, to migrate to a database-driven dynamic content management system. The software also features a friendly color-coding system, which identifies files that have been mapped and files that have been imported.

Migration can occur on an as-needed basis because users can run and rerun the program incrementally. The tool collects information about the file system, displays the file hierarchy and lets the user associate the file groups with the appropriate fields.
