On May 15th, FatWire opened its new offices at 330 Old Country Road in Mineola. FatWire moved from 6,000 square feet in Port Washington to 17,400 square feet in the Mineola building.
Recently named one of "Long Island's Top Ten Fastest Growing Software Companies," by LISTnet (Source KPMG), FatWire is growing exponentially. With 35 employees in the beginning of 2000, FatWire currently employs over 60 and expects to grow to 120 by year-end.
"One of the most strategic things about locating here is that our new building is a quick walk from the Long Island Rail Road station, because about half our people come from Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan," said Mark Fasciano, FatWire's president and a co-founder.
The space of the new interior was designed to create an atmosphere of innovativeness and react to the quickly growing numbers of employees. The favorite highlight for every employee: a Herman Miller "Aeron" chair at every desk!
The company's impressive client list includes: IBM, Motorola, EyeWeb.com and GetPlugged.com. FatWire produces UpdateEngine, a premier platform for e-business that will revolutionize the development and growth of Internet, intranet and extranet sites.
