FatWire Software Announces New Extensions to Flagship Content Server Product
Migration Tool, XML Manager and Domino Bridge Extend Benefits of Content Server by Leveraging Products from Ephox, Kapow and Lotus

Mineola, NY – July 20, 2004 - FatWire Software, a leading provider of content management solutions for deploying content-centric applications, has announced three new modules that integrate with software products from Kapow, Ephox and Lotus to extend the benefits of the company’s flagship Content Server product.  These new modules – Migration Tool, XML Manager and Domino Bridge – are available immediately.

“Each of these new offerings further support FatWire’s commitment to providing easy-to-use technologies that empower business users with the ability to manage Web content, documents, digital assets and XML files,” said John Murcott, Vice President of Products and Strategy at FatWire.  “By enabling non-technical users to easily manage content for content-centric applications, we are helping our customers put content to work to achieve new levels of productivity and efficiency.”

The following are brief descriptions of the new FatWire modules:

  • Migration Tool.  Businesses are dealing with a proliferation of Intranet, Internet and extranets that would be more cost effective to maintain if managed in a single environment.  FatWire Content Server’s Migration Tool leverages the power of Kapow’s RoboSuite software to extract unstructured and unorganized content trapped in pre-existing sites and migrate that content to the controlled Content Server repository to gain economies of scale.
  • XML Manager.  Companies spend considerable resources standardizing content into enterprise XML formats.  Content Server’s XML Manager, which integrates with Ephox EditLive! for XML, makes this content available to non-technical business users through an easy to use interface.
  • Domino Bridge.  Many companies have invested heavily in the collaborative power of Lotus Domino and Lotus Notes.  FatWire Content Server enhances the capabilities of these infrastructure products by enabling organizations to develop content-centric applications that access content stored in Lotus Domino and Notes.  This integration allows business users to easily combine Web content with Lotus documents.
