FatWire Software Announces Spark 6 at BEA e-World
Deepens Integration with BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1
Mineola, NY - May 24, 2004 - FatWire Software, the leading provider of strategic enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, announced today that it has expanded its integration with the BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1 through the latest release of Spark 6 pCM (portal Content Management) for the BEA WebLogic Portal 8.1 and the introduction of FatWire's BEA Control Bridge for BEA WebLogic Workshop 8.1. FatWire demonstrated the new capabilities of both technologies at BEA's annual eWorld conference in San Francisco.

"Spark provides a low-cost, fully integrated portal content management solution that is easy to install for administrators and easy to use for content contributors. As customers' needs grow and companies seek to extend FatWire's solution to additional sites and content driven web applications, Spark allows for a simple upgrade to FatWire Content Server," said John Murcott, Vice President of Products and Strategy for FatWire. "FatWire's BEA Control Bridge will enable developers to achieve new levels of efficiency in working with the BEA WebLogic Workshop 8.1."

Spark 6 pCM, at the low cost of $25,000 per server, is now available on the Content Server technology and fully supports BEA WebLogic Portal 8.1 standards, CM: SPI and JSR 168. Spark can be installed in a matter of hours and features easy to use content management and document management interfaces, and installs with four pre-built delivery portlets for job postings, corporate communications, documents and advertisements.

FatWire's BEA Control Bridge provides developers the ability to create applications in BEA WebLogic Workshop 8.1. The Control Bridge allows developers to access all content and assets, regardless of data type, stored in FatWire Content Server repositories. This cuts development time significantly and thereby lowers overall application development costs.
