FatWire Software Offers the First Low-Cost Content Management Product for Portals
Announcing FatWire Spark pCM for BEA WebLogic Portal

MINEOLA, N.Y.--FatWire Software, a leader in dynamic content management and developer of the powerful Web application assembly system UpdateEngine6, today announced FatWire Spark pCM, the first low-cost content management product for portals. Spark will exist as an integrated, portlet interface for BEA WebLogic Portal(TM).The announcement was made at the opening of BEA's Seventh Annual eWorld Developers Conference held at the San Diego Convention Center from Feb 24-27, 2002.

Spark portal Content Management (pCM) will include basic CM functions including: workflow, a "to do" list, simplified user and group management, basic search functionality, rollback, and a function to automatically generate content management interfaces for business users. Spark will run on the BEA WebLogic Portal, which simplifies, personalizes, and lowers the cost of access to information, applications, and business processes. FatWire's Spark will start at $25,000, and will be available spring 2002.

FatWire's Spark will be the only portal content management product that can easily be upgraded to a complete dynamic content management solution. The cost-effective product is dedicated to meet the needs of small to mid-size pCM projects.
