FatWire Software Powers BEA Portal Solution Center
UpdateEngine6 to Manage Content and Portlet Applications

MINEOLA, N.Y. -- FatWire Software, a leading provider of dynamic content management software for Fortune 1000 companies, today announced that BEA Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS), the world's leading application infrastructure software company, is using FatWire's Web application assembly system UpdateEngine6 (UE6) to provide content management capabilities for the new BEA Portal Solution Center. UE6 allows BEA content contributors and hundreds of partners throughout the world to share application portlets, ISV integrations and portal business solutions, while posting directly to the BEA Portal Solution Center. The Portal Solution Center, which launched today, is an online community highlighting partner solutions integrated with the BEA WebLogic Portal, available at http://portalsolutions.bea.com.

BEA's Portal Solution Center initially highlights more than 100 partner portlets and integrations, including collaboration, wireless, security, CRM and content management. FatWire's flexible architecture, pre-built integration with BEA WebLogic Portal, and FatWire UpdateEngine's automatically generated user interfaces all contributed to BEA being able to design and create this site on schedule. As the BEA Portal Solution Center grows, FatWire technology allows the site to easily increase the number of partner contributors while maintaining site consistency. This flexibility provides more portlet applications and up-to-date content to BEA's partners and customers, helping BEA achieve its project goals.
