FatWire Software Promotes Jim Gleason and Bob Ronchi
Gleason to head Business Development and Ronchi to oversee Strategic Alliances

MINEOLA, N.Y.--FatWire Software, a leading provider of dynamic content management and developer of the powerful Web application assembly system UpdateEngine5, announced the promotions of Jim Gleason to Vice President of Business Development and Bob Ronchi to Vice President of Strategic Alliances. These appointments are effective immediately.

Jim Gleason, 54, previously Director of Business Development for FatWire, joined the company in June of 2000. Under his leadership, FatWire has built an experienced business development team that has forged over twenty new partners including: IBM, BEA, Sun/ iPlanet, ATG, HP, Sybase, Informix, ITG, Icon Nicholson, Springbow, PwC, KPMG, BusinessEdge, DeepBridge, GlobalSight and eRunway.

Gleason's previous experience in consulting and systems integration includes: developing Oracle's NY Major Account Strategy, developing KPMG's business development strategies in Financial Services, and building DBI Communications Brokerage and banking trading floor consulting practice. His prior experiences at IBM, Data General, IPC, and 3COM highlight his channel friendly and partner centric approach to building FatWire's strategies.

Bob Ronchi, 52, of Newport Beach, CA and Trumbull, CT, joined FatWire in January 2001 as the West Coast Director of Business Development. His fast promotion to Vice President of Strategic Alliances comes as a result of the major traction he has secured with premier platform technology partners such as BEA Systems and SUN/iPlanet, in addition to highly regarded system Integrators such as Springbow. In his new role, Bob will lead FatWire into the rapidly expanding Portal market, helping define integration requirements, develop key strategic joint sales initiatives and deploy joint go-to-market plans.
Mr. Ronchi has a 25 year track record of success in several Fortune 500 companies, starting in sales in Los Angeles and rising to Vice President for the Northeast US for Harris Corp and Lanier Worldwide thru 1994. During that time he had general management responsibility for over 200 field employees in sales, technical service and administration. He developed a reputation for turning around faltering operations in San Jose, Los Angeles, Southern CA Region and the Northeast Region including the Healthcare Division.

In 1994, Mr. Ronchi was appointed Vice President of Sales for Connecticut based Dictaphone Corporation, a Division of Pitney Bowes at the time. In this capacity, he was responsible for a staff of over 800, with P&L responsibility for $100M in revenue. He played a major role in implementing the spin-off strategy that took Dictaphone through an LBO in 1995. He was a key member of management that crafted and implemented the technical rebirth of Dictaphone as a software company. In 1999, Mr. Ronchi took on the challenging position as Vice President, Sales and Business Development for WorkSeek.com, a California based recruitment service company where he successfully expanded a "brick and mortar" business into an aggressive "on-line", B2B Company in a competitive space.

In commenting on the management change, Jim Holleran, FatWire's Senior VP of Business Development and Marketing stated: "Both Jim and Bob are key figures in directing the partner relationships for FatWire. With the emerging importance and complexity of FatWire's channel strategies, we felt it was time to expand the executive management team to provide our new partners with the highest level of service and professionalism. Their extensive experience, leadership and team building skills will be vital in managing and steering our channel strategies in this rapidly changing marketplace."
