FatWire Software Recognized as Sole Leader in Persuasive Content-Centric Applications by Independent Research Firm
Report cites FatWire's strength in Web Content Management, reporting and analytics, and multichannel content delivery

Mineola, NY - March 28, 2006 -- FatWire Software, a leading provider of content management solutions for deploying Web sites and content-centric applications, announced that it has been ranked by Forrester Research as the sole Leader in persuasive content-centric applications in its Forrester Wave: Content-Centric Applications report. The key findings of this report align with FatWire's strategy to enable enterprises to put content to work by delivering highly targeted and persuasive experiences to customers, partners, and employees.

"With an almost exclusive focus on persuasive content, and strong Web content management, reporting and analytics, and multichannel content delivery, FatWire established itself as the sole persuasive content application Leader," writes Forrester analyst Kyle McNabb in the report. "FatWire's multichannel content delivery strengths include implicit and explicit personalization to end users based on their segmentation. And the vendor's reporting and analytics help close the loop on content delivery by providing insight into how end users utilize content. The vendor also works closely with channel partners to develop templated persuasive content solutions addressing customer service knowledge delivery needs and closed loop marketing."

As mentioned in the report, FatWire has relentlessly pursued its vision of content-centric applications, and made major progress before any other WCM vendor was thinking this way. FatWire offers two specific persuasive content-centric solutions targeted at improving the customer experience within call centers and online channels. The FatWire eService Accelerator supports the management and delivery of content needed by call center agents, customer service representatives, and customers doing self-service. The FatWire eMarketing Accelerator provides multichannel campaign management and delivery, leveraging FatWire's user segmentation and personalization capabilities. The eMarketing Accelerator has also been packaged into specific solutions for eTravel and eHealth to address the persuasive content needs of those industries.

While much of the purchasing of content management technology over the last 5 years has been led by IT to meet risk mitigation and cost containment goals, the Forrester report cites a major trend in which line-of-business people are looking to put content to use. "FatWire is benefiting from these trends," said Jeff Ernst, vice president of marketing and strategic solutions at FatWire Software. "Companies and their business and marketing teams come to us to help them grow top-line revenues and build competitive advantage. We are thrilled that Forrester has recognized FatWire as a visionary and the only leader in this area and that it is advising its clients to incorporate this strategy into their business and technology plans."

FatWire was among thirteen Enterprise Content Management (ECM) suite and component vendors that Forrester invited to participate in its Content-Centric Applications Wave report. Forrester's comprehensive Wave methodology assesses the strengths and weaknesses of each vendor's solution using a combination of hands-on lab evaluations, vendor surveys, product demonstrations, and client interviews.

This endorsement of FatWire's technology and market strategy comes after FatWire was cited as a Leader in Forrester's Web Content Management Wave for external sites in April, 2005 , and as a Leader in the Web Content Management for Retail Wave in August, 2005.
