Mineola, NY - April 26, 2005 -- FatWire Software, a leading provider of content management solutions for deploying Web sites and content-centric applications, announced that it has been ranked by Forrester Research as a Leader in its Web Content Management Wave Report for external sites. The key findings of this report reinforce FatWire's strategy to enable enterprises to put content to work by delivering highly targeted and persuasive experiences to customers, partners, and employees.
FatWire was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its Web Content Management Wave report. Forrester's comprehensive Wave methodology assesses the strengths and weaknesses of each vendor's solution using a combination of hands-on lab evaluations, vendor surveys, product demonstrations, and client interviews. In the process, each vendor's product is evaluated against approximately 200 criteria.
FatWire was the only vendor to get a perfect score of 5.0 in any of the Current Offering categories. This score was achieved for Architecture, which reflects how well the product fits into IT environments. This has become an increasingly important evaluation criterion as most enterprises are trying to rationalize and consolidate disparate Web technologies, expand their Web presence globally, and scale to meet increasing volumes of content and users. Other high scores were received in dynamic content cache management, publishing and deployment administration, multisite management, personalization, and product strategy.
In the report, Forrester analyst Kyle McNabb called out many of the strengths that have fueled the success of FatWire's extensive roster of customers. "FatWire Software's Content Server 6.0 provides strong multisite management and delivery capabilities, including comprehensive personalization functionality for support of eBusiness initiatives," stated McNabb in the report. "FatWire's focus on addressing the content-centric application needs of its customers, combined with its dynamic content delivery and personalization strengths, help establish this vendor as a leader and visionary in external site initiatives."
"FatWire has always recognized that companies achieve a higher return on investment by putting content to work to grow top-line revenue and build competitive advantage, and this has guided our product and market strategy over the ten years since our founding," said Mark Fasciano, CEO, FatWire Software. "Forrester is doing a great service to its user clients by stressing the importance of the factors that are critical to deploying content-centric applications."
