FatWire Software to Provide Content Management Engine for BEA WebLogic Portal 4.0

MINEOLA, N.Y.--FatWire Software, a leading provider of dynamic content management and developer of the powerful Web application assembly system UpdateEngine (UE), today announced that it will participate in the BEA Portal Star Solution, a partner initiative from BEA Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS). The BEA Portal Star Solution provides a designation for partners that offer complementary products or services that are tightly integrated with the BEA WebLogic Portal(TM). FatWire will integrate UpdateEngine5 with BEA WebLogic Portal to provide customers with a BEA-Ready(TM) solution that will benefit customers looking for a faster, easier content management portal solution.

Additionally, FatWire has integrated UpdateEngine to the content management Service Provider Interface (SPI) for BEA WebLogic Personalization Server 3.5. The content management SPI allows BEA partners to integrate with BEA WebLogic products in a standardized format, which can help reduce both the time and cost for portal and mobile-commerce content development and management.
