The companies have signed an agreement whereby IBM's WebSphere sales teams in the UK and Ireland can offer customers FatWire's UE5 enterprise content management engine as part of an overall IBM WebSphere solution. This will allow IBM customers to take advantage of the highly scaleable online content personalization, data connectivity and rapid application assembly capabilities of the product.
A longtime FatWire client and user of UE5, IBM is well positioned to understand and communicate the cost and speed advantages of using the product. The FatWire team will work closely with IBM Sales and Presales teams in targeting the Finance and Media markets. The combination of WebSphere with UE5 will deliver a sophisticated platform for e-commerce, interactive media, highly personalized portals and a full range of network application integration.
