Mineola, NY – May 5, 2004 - FatWire Software, a leading provider of strategic enterprise content management solutions, announced today that its Content Server product has been chosen by Inversis, an Internet bank owned by several Spanish banks and technology companies. Content Server, running on the BEA WebLogic Server™ and Oracle database, will be used to redeploy all of Inversis’ Internet and intranet initiatives, which provide different views of investor information for customers, employees and other banks. Inversis was previously a customer of Vignette, another content management vendor.
“Leveraging our business content is key to the success of our company, therefore choosing the right content management software is critical,” said Jesus Garcia, director of web development and middleware at Inversis. “We determined that switching to FatWire would be a more successful and cost-effective path. FatWire Content Server, which has always been Java based, provides superior business user interfaces, Word integration and personalization capabilities; and most importantly, a clear migration path to a proven platform. The investment in Content Server will pay for itself in two years, based on the savings in maintenance and support fees alone.”
According to John Murcott, Vice President of Products and Strategy at FatWire, “We are pleased to welcome Inversis as another valued customer. With more Java based installations than any other content management company, FatWire is increasingly viewed as the logical alternative for businesses seeking a clear migration path to a proven, reliable J2EE solution.”
Inversis had originally purchased Vignette's content management product in 2000. Since Vignette does not offer a migration path to V6 or V7, Inversis attempted to migrate to V6 on their own during 2003. After this migration failed, they chose to seek an alternative solution that already runs on a Java platform with proven reliability.
