NEON Extends Portal Product with FatWire's UpdateEngine

MINEOLA, N.Y. and DENVER, June 21, 2000 -- New Era of Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEON), a leading e-Business integration software provider, and FatWire Corporation, a leading provider of dynamic content management and Enterprise Portal software, today announced a strategic alliance to deliver FatWire's award winning UpdateEngine technology as a fully integrated component of e-Biz Portal Server(TM) -- a recent addition to NEON's broad-based e-Business integration product line.

With the inclusion of UpdateEngine, e-Biz Portal Server enables companies to deliver dynamic content from their back-end systems to their partners and suppliers (B2B), and Customers (B2C) through any Web-based interface quickly and easily.

Portals are bi-directional entry points for Web-based access to companies, and have quickly become critical components of the Internet economy. NEON's e-Biz Portal Server enables businesses to implement Enterprise Portals rapidly and with little disruption to back-end systems. The addition of FatWire's UpdateEngine enables businesses to simplify and rationalize the delivery and receipt of this back-end data as front-end content for customers and partners using Web-based interfaces.
