Rush University Medical Center Chooses FatWire Software To Extend Health Care Services to Web
Greystone.Net Advises Health Care Leader on Selection of Content Server -

Mineola, NY – April 20, 2004  -- FatWire Software, the leading provider of strategic enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, today announced that its Content Server solution has been chosen to power the Web site of Rush University Medical Center, one of the country’s leading hospitals.  FatWire’s Content Server product will be the content management standard for the Chicago based medical center, the tertiary hub of the Rush System for Health which serves approximately three million people through its member hospitals and outpatient programs.  Greystone.Net, a leading provider of Internet solutions and consulting services to healthcare organizations, advised Rush on the selection process.

“For Rush, providing exceptional healthcare services extends beyond the walls of the hospital, and includes delivering important medical information to our patients and community,” said Venkatesh Korla, Director of Software Engineering at Rush University Medical Center.  “FatWire Content Server allows our medical experts to control how diagnostic information is presented to specific types of site visitors.”

“Rush will use the Greystone Clinical Content Library and Content Server as the basis for developing a far-reaching consumer site that aggregates diagnostically related content for patients based on content classifications and business rules,” said Robin Snow, Vice President at Greystone.Net.  “We were retained to assist in the selection of a content management system to support this site and the institutions’ academic intranet and Internet sites. After a thorough evaluation process, FatWire’s Content Server solution was selected from a large field of contenders as the best choice for Rush based on its dynamic publishing and personalization capabilities.  As the healthcare business model evolves toward ease-of-access and business process transparency, we view FatWire as an excellent technology partner for Rush.”

According to John Murcott, Vice President of Products and Strategy at FatWire, “Rush University Medical Center will form an internal competency center to develop best practice architectures and corporate standards for all divisions of the hospital to follow as they build and launch their sites with FatWire Content Server.”
