Definition and Design

The Foundation
At FatWire, we believe that the seeds of a successful project are sown through careful planning. That's why the first two phases in our services methodology are Definition and Design. FatWire Professional Services works with clients to design an architecture that meets current requirements and scales to support future growth.

The Dialogue
At the start of an engagement with FatWire Professional Services, our expert architects work with client teams to identify requirements. Questions asked during the Definition phase include:

• Who are the stakeholders in project success?
• Who will be the end users of the application?
• What teams need to work together?
• What is the function of the application or site?
• How will the results be measured?
• How will the solution meet evolving business needs?
• What components are required in order to develop a fully functional, integrated solution?

Architects translate detailed requirements into designs that speed development to meet current requirements and ensure scalability for future initiatives.

The Right Start
The value of detailed planning and design can't be overstated. For this reason, FatWire Professional Services offers the Right Start program, which focuses on the Definition and Design phases of the full services methodology, for those customers who only need assistance in these early project phases. This program provides customers with a detailed project plan for implementation, which can be undertaken by clients themselves or in conjunction with a FatWire services team.

Development and Deployment

The Benefits of Experience
Building on the plans made in the Definition and Design phases, FatWire's implementation services include Development and Deployment. In these areas, FatWire's service teams offer unmatched experience and expertise, with a solid understanding of what it takes to turn a good design into a successful deployment. Working with FatWire Professional Services for Development and Deployment, clients can:

• Leverage best practices and expertise of hundreds of other deployments.
• Compress the time and cost of development with FatWire's modular development practices and code re-use.
• Benefit from the uniquely close relationship that exists between FatWire's service and engineering teams.
• Keep projects on time and within budget working with FatWire's project management experts.

Mentoring
FatWire's philosophy is that the client should be a partner when it comes to developing the most appropriate and powerful solutions. Our goal during deployments is to create an environment where clients can become their own Content Server experts for future projects.

To further this goal, FatWire Professional Services offers our architects and developers as "mentors" to client developers. The Mentoring Program allows client developers to work side-by-side with FatWire developers in order to become completely familiar and comfortable with the development environment.

Once an implementation is complete, FatWire is committed to ensuring the long-term success of our clients. Our extensive training and support programs aim to keep customers up-to-speed on new releases and to quickly resolve any problems that arise.
